Founded in 1823, Mortlach is one of the few distilleries to use partial triple distillation (precisely 2.81 times). Equipped with traditional “worm tub” condensers, it is renowned for producing a delicate distillate with a rich and fruity profile.
This expression was aged exclusively in ex-bourbon casks, imparting soft spice notes. Like The Un-Chillfiltered Collection, the whiskies in the Very Cloudy range are bottled from small batches of two to five casks.
Reduced to 40% ABV without chill filtration or added coloring, they feature a rich, highly aromatic profile and a slightly cloudy appearance. For an authentic tasting experience, they can be enjoyed at room temperature or slightly chilled to enhance their oily texture.
The Very Cloudy range is exclusive to La Maison du Whisky.

Nose : Fruity and fresh. Orchard fruits, lychee, white flowers (lily of the valley), spices (pepper, licorice).
Palate : Fruity, rich, and spicy. Bourbon vanilla, almond milk, malted barley, baked apple, aromatic herbs (verbena, chamomile).
Finish : Soft. Roasted barley, honey, freshly cut hay.
