This single cask Laphroaig chosen by La Maison du Whisky for the Itinéraires catalogue was distilled in 2014 and matured in a refill hogshead for 11 years. It captures the distillery’s wilder, more elemental profile. Showing the full breadth of Laphroaig’s character, from briny peat and soot to citrus brightness and tropical fruit, it builds steadily in power through the tasting, finishing in a grand crescendo of rich, oily smoke. Only 359 bottles were drawn from this cask.

Released under the Single Malts of Scotland range from Elixir Distillers, this series curates casks that showcase clarity, purity of distillate and the diversity of Scotland’s malt whisky regions. Each bottling is drawn from carefully chosen individual casks or small batches, bottled without chill-filtration or added colouring to preserve authenticity and character.
