Founded in 1958 within the Strathclyde grain distillery complex near Glasgow, Kinclaith was the last malt distillery in the Lowlands before closing in 1975. The small production Kinclaith bottlings are distilled in 1969, and this particular version, distilled in 1969, has matured in a bourbon hogshead cask. Slightly toasted, it opens to jam, plums, anise and tobacco.
