Description
Nose: fine, fresh. The aroma palette reveals both gentle peat and oil as well as intense fruit (Mirabelle plum, greengage plum) and vanilla. Allowed to breathe, candied citrus fruit notes (lemon, grapefruit) bring a lot of vitality before the focus turns to medicinal (tiger balm), camphor and malt.
Appearance: vieil or soutenu
Palate: elegant, distinguished. The palate reveals more peat, salt and plant root (ginger) than implied by the nose, and elegantly develops more tropical (banana, pineapple), herbaceous (cut hay) and menthol dimensions. Medicinal, empyreumatic and smoke (lit Havana cigar) notes fill the air.
Overall: fresh, full. Opening on earth, salt and terpene (lava), the finish is softened by a very pure expression of honey (acacia, lime blossom). As time goes on, the palate is invaded by blocks of peat. The empty glass overflows with essential oils (rosemary, savory) and creates a medicinal elixir of youth (arnica).
