Description
Nose: refined, deep. The aroma palette is very developed and its oxidative character wonderfully highlighted by fragrances of candied apricot, brandied cherries, dried fruit (date, fig), salted butter caramel, black fruits (bramble, blueberry), sandalwood and grated ginger.
Appearance: cuivre orangé soutenu.
Palate: firm yet smooth. At first, orange zests sprinkle their tangy juices across the palate. Quickly, however, the flavours move into spices (cardamom tea) and milky registers (coconut). With a very delicate grain, the texture is immensely elegant. Cocoa powder slowly falls over the palate.
Overall: creamy, distinguished. Closely interwoven notes of wood filler, wax, dried apricot, toffee, date and tropical fruits (guava, persimmon) form a fleshy finish. On the retro-nasal olfaction, a fine layer of liquorice envelops the taste buds and draws the tasting out ad infinitum.
