Description
Colour: Deep gold
Nose: Both fresh and concentrated. Covered by a thin layer of tiger balm, the nose opens with aromas of fruit (pear, pineapple), vanilla, and acacia honey. With aeration, the aromatic profile becomes beautifully herbaceous (cut hay, alfalfa), malty, and spicy (grated ginger)
Palate: Nuanced, subtle. A blend of vivacity and smoothness, the flavour profile is remarkably complex. Notes of vanilla, chalk, and a touch of tartness (candied lemon) emerge. Perfectly balanced, it gradually develops a tender maltiness and a rich, indulgent character (reminiscent of Aix-en-Provence calissons)
Finish: Long, silky. By giving free rein to the profoundly exotic character of this magnificent Hellyers Road (banana, kiwi, lychee), the finish inevitably echoes the initial aromas. Then, flavours of camphor and cedar add a particularly seductive balsamic and saline dimension to the whole
