For nearly 200 years, the The Glendronach Distillery has stood proudly in the north of Scotland, nestled in the evocative “Valley of Brambles” from which it draws its name. Its signature style is defined by a unique duality—the meeting of a robust Highland spirit with the richness and elegance of Spanish sherry cask maturation. Slowly aged in the finest Andalusian casks, Glendronach single malts reveal a deep, layered and highly expressive aromatic profile, widely revered by connoisseurs worldwide.
This Glendronach 22 Year Old 1990 Batch 8, matured in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask (#2971), is a rich and powerful expression of the distillery’s iconic style. After more than two decades of ageing, it delivers an opulent profile filled with ripe dark fruits, chocolate and sweet spice. The nose opens with notes of plum, black fruits, vanilla and cocoa, while the palate fully amplifies these flavours with remarkable depth and intensity. A bold, indulgent single malt that perfectly showcases the richness of PX cask maturation.
