EDRADOUR 9 ans 2016 Caroni Cask Itinéraires

After founding the Signatory Vintage trading house in 1988, Andrew Symington became the owner of Edradour in 2002. In 2018, thanks to his success, he opened a second distillery on the opposite bank of the Edradour River, built in the image of the original distillery established in 1825. Aged in a second-fill cask that once held the renowned Caroni rum from Trinidad and Tobago, this expression is a skilful balance of minerality and smoothness. Throughout the tasting, it faithfully reflects Caroni’s signature empyreumatic character, while its aromatic and flavour profile is interwoven with floral, rustic, and fruity notes that unmistakably evoke the Perthshire region.
