Founded in 1825 and long regarded as one of Scotland’s most characterful small distilleries, Edradour has built its reputation on a distinctly rich and oily spirit. Since its acquisition in 2002 by Andrew Symington (Signatory Vintage), the distillery has undergone a creative renaissance, exploring an exceptional range of wine and fortified wine cask finishes. Under the guidance of Iain Henderson, former manager of Laphroaig, Edradour also gave birth to Ballechin, its heavily peated counterpart—further cementing the distillery’s modern, exploratory identity while remaining deeply rooted in tradition.
