This Edradour 12 Year Old 2012 Pinot Noir Cask is a striking Highland single malt that celebrates the dialogue between whisky and wine. Matured entirely in Pinot Noir casks and bottled at 48.2% ABV, it delivers a full-bodied yet velvety profile, where vibrant red fruits meet spice and gentle oak. Notes of cherry, chocolate and ginger unfold with elegance, showcasing how carefully selected wine casks can enhance—rather than overshadow—the character of a distinctive distillate. Part of a four-bottling collaboration, this expression stands as a refined and expressive ode to vinous maturation.

Founded in 1825 (originally as Glenforres) and renamed Edradour in 1837, the distillery is renowned for its small scale and unmistakable house style. Acquired in 2002 by Andrew Symington, founder of Signatory Vintage, Edradour entered a new era of innovation, becoming a pioneer in creative wine and fortified-wine cask finishes, including Burgundy, Tokaji and Madeira. Under the guidance of Iain Henderson, the distillery also introduced the heavily peated Ballechin range. Since 2018, production has expanded into a purpose-built replica distillery next door, preserving traditional methods while allowing greater consistency. Edradour remains a benchmark for artisanal Highland whisky with a modern, exploratory spirit.
