This Edradour 10 Year Old 2014 Sauvignon Wine Cask is a vibrant Highland single malt that highlights the distillery’s ongoing exploration of wine-led maturation. Distilled in 2014, aged for 10 years in Sauvignon wine casks and bottled at 48.2% ABV, it delivers a fresh, precise profile shaped by the aromatic lift of the wine. Bright notes of lemon, pear and elderberry intertwine with Edradour’s naturally oily, malty spirit, resulting in a whisky that is elegant, expressive and refreshingly different. Part of a four-bottling collaboration, it exemplifies the refined balance possible when whisky meets carefully chosen wine casks.

Founded in 1825 as Glenforres and renamed Edradour in 1837, the distillery is famed for its artisanal scale and unmistakable house character. Since its acquisition in 2002 by Andrew Symington, founder of Signatory Vintage, Edradour has become a pioneer in innovative wine and fortified-wine cask finishes, revitalising its traditional image while preserving its heritage. Under the influence of former Laphroaig director Iain Henderson, the distillery also introduced the heavily peated Ballechin range. From 2018, production expanded into a purpose-built replica distillery next door, maintaining traditional equipment and methods while supporting future growth. Edradour today stands as a benchmark for creative yet authentic Highland whisky.
