Generally unpeated when the distillery name appears alone on the label, the Moine and Staoisha versions display an intensely smoky profile, as worthy representatives of the Islay style. While Moine simply means “peat” in Gaelic, Staoisha is the name of a lake located a few kilometers from the distillery, in the heart of the island’s peat bogs. Distilled in 2014, this Bunnahabhain Staoisha can be proud of its six years of age, it looks much older.
