Pinang Raci literally translates to a mixture of spices. Grandfather Jacobus “Bobby” Alfons, who inspired and gave his name to Bobby’s gin, was known for skillfully infusing Dutch genever with spices that reminded him of his homeland: Naku, on the island of Ambon. This is how he created and spiced up his own genever!

Grandsons Sebastiaan and David attribute the success of Bobby’s Dry Gin & Jenever to their grandfather Bobby. But his legacy goes beyond those spirits and continues to inspire the present and the future. That’s why grandsons and Herman Jansen’s Master Distiller, Ad van der Lee, continued to experiment with Pinang Raci and the spice blend, resulting in a series of unique spice blends. .
