This Bladnoch 23 Year Old 1977 was distilled in 1977 and bottled at cask strength in 2001 as part of the legendary Rare Malts collection by Diageo. Introduced in the mid-1990s, the Rare Malts series highlighted hidden gems and lesser-seen distilleries, alongside revered closed distilleries such as Brora and Port Ellen. Bottled at natural cask strength and often featuring remarkably high ABV levels, the range became highly sought after among collectors before its discontinuation in 2005.

This expression showcases a beautifully mature and elegant side of Bladnoch, where long ageing has refined the whisky into a rich and layered dram. Bright citrus notes, floral honeyed sweetness and creamy textures unfold alongside subtle spice and delicate complexity. The alcohol is impressively integrated, allowing the whisky’s age and character to shine with remarkable balance and sophistication.
