The Benromach distillery is equipped with nine European larch vats and four Scottish larch vats, in which fermentation times vary between 59 and 135 hours. Its distillation room is equipped with a wash still and a spirit still with swan necks forming a right angle and equipped with external condensers. Reviving a practice common in this region until the 1960s, it produces a lightly peated single malt (12 ppm) appreciated for its old-school style. A true ode to barley, this version offers a succession of herbal, malty, saline, smoky and spicy sequences whose natural charm is matched only by its fresh expression.
