Tasting Notes

Colour : Golden yellow.

Nose : Rich, concentrated. Deeply malty, herbaceous (freshly cut hay), rooty (gentian), vanilla, and smoky (turpentine, fuel) on the initial nose. With aeration, intense smoke fills the atmosphere while scents of lime, agave, and fresh walnut make their appearance.

Palate : Ample, dense. Animalistic (bacon, smoked fish), the palate attack is simultaneously silky with licorice, oily (olive), and lemony. The mid-palate is also lactic (almond, agave) and mineral (schist, tar).

Finish : Long, rich. The beginning of the finish conjures the image of white flowers growing on volcanic soil. In the aftertaste, flavors of germinating barley take us inside a malting area. From the empty glass emanate the fermentative aromas of a tumultuous vessel.

Finish : Rich and dense. Smoke, lemon, almond.
