After more than 20 years of growing potatoes on the family farm for large retailers, always seeking the lowest price, William Chase decided to change direction. His desire to stay close to the land and the terroir led him to seek products that would enhance what he cultivates.

In 2002, he created Tyrrells chips. It was in 2004, during a trip to the USA, that he got the idea to venture into spirits.

After years of research and experimentation, the first batch of Chase potato vodka was produced in 2008, along with the founding of Chase Distillery. Since then, the distillery has grown significantly, and many products have been developed.
