Beefeater is one of the nine distilleries currently operating in London and inherits a history that is 150 years old. In 1862, a certain James Burrough bought a distillery in Chelsea, which historically produced all kinds of liqueurs, for a song.

By 1876, Burrough had developed gin production and created a very flavorful gin called “Beefeater Gin” through the blending of 9 botanicals. The distillery moved to London in the 1950s and continues to apply the same techniques and recipe developed by Burrough nearly a century earlier.
