Auchroisk is one of the distilleries built in the 1970s to supply whisky to the blenders of major brands. Auchroisk single malt is still mainly used in the J&B blend, and there have been very few official versions, with the first being named Singleton (not to be confused with Singleton of Dufftown, Glen Ord, and Glendullan), as it was thought that Auchroisk was too difficult to pronounce!

Independent bottlings often reveal a silky and smooth character, elegantly developing lovely notes of roasted nuts and a slight smokiness.
