Established in 1958 by Long John Distillers, Tormore is historically significant as the first distillery constructed in the 20th century. Designed by architect Sir Albert Richardson, its distinctive listed buildings remain among the most striking in Speyside. Since 2005, Tormore has been owned by Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard) and has long played a key role in major blends such as Ballantine’s. With the Blueprint series, Elixir Distillers turns the spotlight firmly onto Tormore’s single malt potential, refining spirit and cask strategies to define the future of this versatile distillery.
