Founded in 1958 by Long John Distillers, Tormore holds a unique place in Scotch whisky history as the first distillery built in the 20th century. Designed by renowned architect Sir Albert Richardson, its striking buildings—now listed—make it one of Speyside’s most distinctive distilleries. Today owned by Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard), Tormore has traditionally been prized for blends such as Ballantine’s. Through the Blueprint project, Elixir Distillers brings renewed focus to Tormore’s single malt identity, carefully refining spirit and cask selection to define the next generation of official expressions.
