Released as part of the celebratory “20 Years of Kilchoman – 20 Casks” series, this 14-year-old single malt represents the second instalment in a landmark anniversary lineup. Drawn entirely from ex-sherry casks, it captures the distillery’s evolution from a pioneering farm distillery to one of Islay’s most respected independent producers. Rich, smoky, and deeply textured, this expression showcases two decades of Kilchoman’s dedication to small-scale production, farm-grown barley and slow, hands-on maturation. A rare opportunity to experience mature Kilchoman shaped by sherry-rich influence and long coastal ageing.

Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery built on Islay in over 124 years, reviving the island’s tradition of true farm distillation. It remains independent, family-run, and one of the few distilleries in Scotland that cultivates, harvests, malts and distils barley on-site. Approximately 100 tonnes of barley are grown annually, covering around 30% of production needs, with the remainder sourced from Port Ellen maltings. This “farmhouse-distillery” model allows Kilchoman to control the entire whisky-making process from field to bottle, resulting in spirits that retain an unmistakable sense of place — smoky, saline, and profoundly Islay.
