Crafted in Taiwan’s subtropical climate, this Kavalan single malt matures with remarkable speed and intensity, developing deep concentration and texture in only a few years. Carefully selected casks — often sherry, bourbon or port — lend layers of tropical fruit, creamy vanilla sweetness and gentle spice. The result is a rich yet polished whisky that balances opulence with precision, showcasing Kavalan’s signature vibrancy and elegant maturity.
Founded by the King Car Group in 2006 and named after the indigenous Kavalan people of Yilan County, Kavalan quickly rose to global prominence with the guidance of late whisky legend Dr. Jim Swan. Benefiting from pure mountain water and Taiwan’s warm, humid climate, the distillery accelerates maturation to create intensely flavoured whiskies in a short time. Today, Kavalan is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of world-class Asian single malt whisky.

Nose: Bright and expressive. Ripe mango, pineapple and citrus zest layered with vanilla cream, honey and soft oak spice.
Palate: Silky and full-bodied. Tropical fruits, toffee, custard and malt sweetness balanced by cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted wood.
Finish: Long and warming. Caramelised sugar, dried fruits and gentle spice with lingering vanilla and oak.
