Caol Ila, from the Gaelic “the Strait of Islay”, is one of the most appreciated whiskeys from the island of Islay, both for its peaty, smoky and iodized character but also for its finesse. This distillery gives birth to the smoothest of Islay malts, recognizable among all by its notes of olive oil, smoke, fruit and its marine freshness. Little marked by its aging in hogshead casks, this Caol Ila distilled in 2016 from the Islay Selection 2022 range presents a smoky and salty profile, supported by notes of vanilla and citrus.
Thin and lively. Ash, grapefruit zest, toasted wood.
