The Whisky, Unveiled
An exceptionally rare single malt, matured in a first fill Sherry butt and bottled at 53.7% ABV, this expression was distilled at the Longmorn Distillery in 1958 — making it over 65 years old.
On the nose, it opens with rich fruitcake, dried fig, and toasted almond, giving way to subtle herbal undertones. The palate delivers layers of dark chocolate, stewed plum, and charred oak, all wrapped in a silky texture and lingering, elegant finish.
Each of the 130 individually numbered bottles represents the pinnacle of Gordon & MacPhail’s maturation expertise and a legacy six decades in the making.

Celebrating 130 years of vision, craft, and legacy
The Mr George Legacy Series – Final Edition is more than just a whisky. It is a statement of heritage, craftsmanship, and unwavering pursuit of perfection. Released in celebration of Gordon & MacPhail’s 130th anniversary, this fifth and final expression embodies the pioneering spirit of George Urquhart — the man affectionately known as “Mr George.”
Crafted from a single, ultra-aged cask carefully selected for its extraordinary depth and complexity, this release is limited to just 130 individually numbered bottles worldwide. Each bottle stands as a tribute to over a century of expertise in maturing and bottling the finest single malt Scotch whisky.
With each sip, you experience the culmination of Mr George’s vision — a delicate balance of oak, spirit, and time, meticulously refined over decades. Collectors, connoisseurs, and aficionados alike will recognize this as a once-in-a-generation release — the rarest in the series, and the ultimate expression of Gordon & MacPhail’s dedication to their craft.
