Calle 23
Calle 23 was born from the passion of a young French engineer for biochemistry and travel. Following various visits to distilleries in South Africa and Mexico, Sophie Decobecq decided to settle in Guadalajara, Mexico, to create her own tequila brand.
The name “Calle 23” came about fortuitously on a street when a partner asked her about the name of her future brand. Thanks to its unique geographical location, the agaves, cultivated at over 2000 meters above sea level, are rich in sugar and give this tequila very fruity aromas. In the same year the brand was launched, Calle 23 was already awarded at the San Francisco Spirits Competition.
