Taking its water from the adjoining hills of Romach, this single malt comes from the combination of both Sherry and Bourbon casks. This mix then sits untouched in Oloroso Sherry casks to mature further for a few months. A peated whisky worthy of a South Islay.

The modern label sets the tone, Benromach is looking to the future. Gordon & MacPhail, the well-known independent bottler, decided to take a huge step forward in 1993 by giving a new lease of life to the renowned Speysider situated in the small fotballdrakter village of Forres, which had been closed for almost 10 years.
After five years of remodelling the first distillate flowed from the stills in 1998, forming what would eventually become their inaugural release after their relaunch, Benromach Traditional. Since then, G&M have been experimenting with different levels of peat, cask finishes and barley varieties to produce exceptional whiskies.
