This single malt is a blend of whiskies distilled in Speyside in 1996 and aged in only three ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a total of 780 bottles. Its profile reveals generous pastry notes with hints of citrus and tropical fruits. For each “A Marriage of Casks” series, Elixir Distillers carefully selects a small number of casks and blends them to create a whisky that is both complex and unique. The Single Malts of Scotland offers a range of superb vintage Scottish single malts. Each edition is carefully selected from Elixir Distillers’ casks from the six whisky-producing regions of Scotland. Only casks considered to have reached the required quality and character are bottled under the name The Single Malts of Scotland. To ensure that each of these whiskies retains its flavors and character, they are not chill-filtered, and no coloring is added.
