These rums were produced by the Saint James distillery, which is located in the pretty little town of Saint-Marie, on the island’s North Atlantic coast.

This first independent bottling from Saint James is made in collaboration with Luca Gargano for the La Maison and Velier brand. This famous modern-day explorer is also a passionate photographer. Taken in Rome by Elliott Erwitt, the photo chosen for this bottle dates from 2005 and represents the wedding scene of a friend of the famous American photographer. The woman visible in silhouette is the bride.

The two rums that make up this distillation were distilled in 2004 and 2006 in traditional copper creole columns. It was bottled in 2021 after a long tropical ageing period of 15 years in oak barrels. This is a limited edition of only 600.
