The Sanchez distillery is a small family-owned business established over 150 years ago in Candelaria Yegolé, a village in the state of Oaxaca.

For four generations, the maestro mezcaleros Sanchez have passed down their craft from father to son, producing artisanal mezcals of exceptional quality.

The Jabali agave is a wild agave found abundantly in the “Sierra Sur” of the state of Oaxaca, where it takes up to 15 years to reach maturity in a dry climate. Its fibers are used by some communities to make ropes, commonly called “Jabalinas.”
