Composed of two extremely active second-fill Sherry casks that were married together for a few months before being bottled at natural cask strength. These casks were stored in a particularly dry warehouse, which saw a significant proportion of each cask evaporate and alcohol levels increase over time. The result is an extremely concentrated and rich profile. Decadent Drinks is an independent bottler of whisky and other spirits. Angus MacRaild – also the author of the WhiskySponge blog – is the founder. His philosophy is quality, enjoyment, and not taking life too seriously. This quirky side can be found in both his blog and on the labels of his bottlings, featuring the Sponge character in various forms. These bottlings, mostly from single casks, are divided into different brands such as the Spongeverse, Equinox & Solstice, and Equilibrium. The Spongeverse includes WhiskySponge, RumSponge, CognacSponge, ArmagnacSponge, and WineSponge.
