Description
Tasting Notes
Nose : Solvent, nail polish, strong glue, it starts strong. Then come the tropical fruits, whether fresh and ripe or fermented: pineapple, banana, and papaya. There is also a little bit of licorice, leather, and Zan candy. Resolutely Hampden, DOK pushes the funkiness to its climax. Esters rule here but are softened by the typical tropical fruitiness of the distillery.
Palate : The attack is frank and powerful on masculine and animal aromas, with notably asphalt, and horse saddle, as well as a small agave and green pineapple side.
Finish : The finish is even dirtier and warmer, with black and green olives, a fine bitterness, and leather again.
