A 1956 vintage Highland Park, aged for 20 years and bottled in 1976 by the distillery in a dumpy bottle.

Highland Park’s uniqueness comes from two essential elements of whisky production: the people and peat. The latter, used for the malted barley on site, comes directly from their property, almost exclusively made up of calluna heather and its roots. As for the people of Highland Park, they are so proud of their origins that they were the last, a century ago, to use indigenous Scottish barley for the production of whisky. They even experimented with aging in Scottish oak barrels, fortunately abandoned because they were too resinous. Highland Park whisky is a concentrate of history.
