Description
TASTING NOTE
Appearance : greenish gold.
Nose : fresh, distinguished. The very exotic (lychee, pineapple, banana), mineral (slate), herbaceous (cut hay), vanilla and milky (coconut, almond) first nose also presents very distinguished notes of aromatic plants (sage, verbena, aniseed). Allowed to breathe, yellow fruits (pear, peach, Golden Delicious apple) gain the upper hand with their refreshing juiciness. Noble spices (cardamom, star anise, nutmeg) and malted barley grains then literally roll across the surface of the aroma palette.
Palate : ethereal, elegantly sketched. The deliciously vanilla attack is characterized by flavours of green liquorice, gorse and candied lemon. On the mid-palate, whole baskets of pears, banana, pineapple and lychees are placed at the centre of the flavour palette. The end of the palate is then deeply malty, delicately roasted (coffee) and infused (green tea).
Overall : long, svelte. At the start of the finish, a beautiful herbaceous sequence (tarragon, marjoram, sage, aniseed) gently covers the taste buds. The end of the finish focuses on the mentholated and vanilla character of this timeless Glen Keith. The creamy and juicy (pear, pineapple) retro-nasal olfaction reveals sublime aromas and flavours of chlorophyll. The medicinal empty glass (ointment) is a subtle combination of cinnamon and saffron.
