Description
Tasting Notes
Nose : Ample, refined. A mix of spices (cumin, cinnamon), salted butter caramel, fruits (apricot, cherry brandy), citrus (grapefruit), and heady flowers (lilac, geranium), the initial nose is highly complex. It evolves to strong spices (clove, nutmeg), peppers, burnt wood, and cereals.
Palate : Clear, taut. Empyreumatic (menthol, eucalyptus, thuja), its attack is also floral (rose, peony). The mid-palate finds balance through vanilla and pastry notes (baked apple). With nobility, it extends into leather, beeswax, and dried fruits (pecan). It expresses a distillate of great purity.
Finish : Long, gourmet. A perfect synthesis of the nose and palate, it demonstrates a great deal of freshness. Its woodiness is remarkably melded, and its sweet/salty balance is impressive. The retro-olfaction is marked by apricot jam. The empty glass is warm, heady (lily, iris), and woody (new oak).
