Nose : Here comes a Sherry bomb! Old leather mixed with warm and sweet spices, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. Then come the dried fruits with cherries, grapes and dates, but also fresh figs and juicy plums. Allowed to breathe, some notes of white and milk chocolate, bergamot and orange blossom. To reinforce its dark side a little more, there is also a little candy caramel mocha and notes of PX.
Palate : On dark chocolate this time but always with this caramel, or rather this date syrup with a hint of black cardamom. Like an impression of chai tea, very concentrated with some notes of milky oolong and lapsang souchong. It’s tea time!
Overall : Fermented Umeboshi plums, Madagascar vanilla and burnt oud wood, as well as some more ‘tropical’ fruity notes with persimmon and guava.
