After 30 years of collaboration between the Drouin house and the Italian spirits specialist Velier, a sincere friendship forms between Luca Gargano, Christian and Guillaume Drouin. The forgotten stocks of the mythical Caroni distillery that Luca Gargano discovered in Trinidad and Tobago gather rums with a unique style, marked by notes of tapenade, pencil shavings, petroleum or leather. In 2020, Guillaume Drouin launched a new challenge for the Experimental range that he wants to age in Caroni rum barrels. Six 1996 Caroni barrels thus joined the Daniel Flambard cellar in Pont l’Evêque and were filled with a 17-year-old Calvados Pays d’Auge.
