TASTING NOTE
Color: orange copper
Nose: rich, powerful. On the first nose, very pretty notes of prune, apricot and exotic fruits (mango) accompany a very distinguished rancio (cherry in brandy). When aired, scents of honeysuckle, chestnut and aromatic plants (verbena, sage) provide a lot of momentum and depth to the aromatic palette. Nutmeg, candied ginger and liquorice come to the fore.
Palate: clean, lively. Very fresh, the attack on the palate is marked by flavors of candied citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit) while a thin layer of liquorice and an infusion of verbena gently coat the taste buds. The mid-palate gives the sensation of chewing licorice stick. Beeswax and chocolate then accentuate the deliciously powdery and finely tannic character of the aftertaste.
Overall: long, silky. Velvety, the start of the finish is marked by notes of bourbon vanilla, prune and toasted walnuts. The finish is exotic (ripe banana, pineapple) and roasted (coffee, black tea). The retro-olfaction makes us smell a bouquet of dried flowers, candied ginger and candied chestnuts. Empyreumatic (pine, cedar), the empty glass recreates the atmosphere of a carpenter’s workshop (varnish, dust in suspension, wax).
