Colour: bright gold.

Nose: deep, subtle. The medicinal (tiger balm, arnica) and very delicately peaty first nose is also vanilla and malty. Allowed to breathe, crisp white fruits (pear, peach, apple) appear alongside promising fragrances of acacia honey, iris butter and coconut milk. The complexity is incredible! Gradually, the aroma palette takes on amazing noble exotic and spicy tones (pineapple, kiwi, banana, cardamom, green pepper).

Palate: rich, full-bodied. The literally enchanting attack is syrupy, clearly evoking a grand cru Sauternes. Very quickly, however, the flavour palette returns to malty, herbaceous (tobacco), spicy (coriander, dill) and subtly peaty territories. Energised with lemon flavours, the mid-palate is also milky (yoghurt, almond milk, fresh walnut). With remarkable freshness, the end of the palate propels us into the middle of a lucerne field with powerful fragrances.

Finish: long, stately. At the start of the finish, gentian root and candied ginger coat the taste buds in their fine and mouth-watering bitterness. Shortly after, the subtly acrid flavours of a Havana cigar take over the flavour palette. These presage a liquorice, roasted and mentholated after-taste. On the retro-nasal olfaction, grains of malted barley gently land on the palate. The empty glass is medicinal (elastoplast), delicately woody and spicy (nutmeg).
