In 1966, Benrinnes doubled its production capacity, increasing the number of stills from three to six. Equipped with two wash stills and four spirits stills, it practised partial triple distillation until 2007. Since then it has returned to classic double distillation, with each wash still being connected to a spirit still. Following the Artist Collective small batch in our 2018 Catalogue Collection, we are proud to present this single cask which is even more concentrated and complex. If we had to mention one part of its personality in particular, it would unquestionably be the layer of arnica that covers the aromatic palette.

Profile: the complex initial nose is medicinal (arnica) and mentholated. It then develops notes of cut hay and fruit (white grape). The rich attack is vanilla and luscious (sage). The mid-palate is honeyed and delicately woody. On the finish, almond appears alongside cut hay. With originality, it lingers with green olive and spices (pepper). Single Cask no. 9063 – Hogshead.
