Description
Tasting Notes
Color : Pale gold.
Nose : Fresh, creamy. Marked by very nice milky notes (coconut, almond), green nuts, candied lemon, and juicy pear, the first nose is also marvelously vanilla. When aerated, scents of white mint, lily of the valley, and iris highlight the flowery character of the aromatic palette. It continues with notes of toffee, grilled malt barley, and alfalfa.
Palate : Lively, proud. Much more extroverted than the nose suggested, the attack on the palate is exotic (passion fruit, kiwi, lychee), finely chocolatey and licorice-flavored. In the middle of the palate, flavors of barley sugar and lavender honey mix with frangipane and dried fruit (prune, date, fig). Menthol and spicy (saffron, clove), the aftertaste becomes more and more herbaceous (reed, bulrush).
Finish : long, tonic. Green tomato fritters, coriander, chervil, and green apples highlight the spring character of the beginning of the finish in a most persuasive way. The superb notes of green tea and jasmine tea that come next reinforce this sensation of freshness. The retro-olfaction puts an apple at the forefront. The empty glass is spicy (ginger, cinnamon), milky, and malty.
Profile : Exotic, fresh.
