Colour: a beautiful bright gold.
Nose: elegant, distinguished. Enchanting aromas of flowering lime blossom, juicy pear and pineapple appear on the first nose with incredible precision. Allowed to breathe, it becomes delicately vanilla and liquorice. Gaining power, a very noble spicy register (cumin, star anise, clove) is gradually revealed. The parallels with a Savennières wine is sure to appeal to fans of white Loire wines. Acacia honey and candied apricot then bring the aromatic palette even more complexity.
Palate: clean, full of energy. The attack on the palate is both floral (lilac, mimosa) and a real cornucopia of orchard fruits (pear, apple). The mentholated mid-palate is characterized by notes of tobacco and candied citrus fruit (lemon, grapefruit). The slightly tannic (white grape skin) end to the palate then gradually returns to malted territory. It is punctuated deliciously with a slightly medicinal note (ointment, camphor).
Finish: long, enveloping. Working in perfect osmosis with the end of the palate, the start of the finish takes on exotic tones (mango, plantain banana, pineapple). Next, a very beautiful forest floor sequence (undergrowth, mushroom, lichen) refreshes the palate. On the retro-nasal olfaction, verbena and sage highlight the herbaceous character of the very end of the palate. The empty glass is fruity (Mirabelle plum), roasted (coffee) and herbaceous (cut hay, lucerne).
